Carley + Hudson // Dunleith Historic Inn

One year ago today, we were celebrating the marriage of two very dear friends! Carley and Hudson are members of our church community group, who met when they were in High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. They chose the beautiful Dunleith Historic Inn in Natchez, MS as the location for their day.  Their first look was so special, and will forever rank as one of our top wedding moments!  This trip was special to us because it also marked our first vacation as a new family! We packed up the car and loaded up our six-month-old daughter as well as my in-laws (the best built-in babysitters, amiright?), and headed for Natchez. This historic town was so much fun, and we had a blast spending Mardi Gras weekend exploring and sharing in Hudson and Carley's day!

Ryan-Grace and Michael // The Ritz

When Ryan-Grace asked us to be a part of her day, I was thrilled!  My husband and I love New Orleans.  It's a place we have visited many times but never as parents, and we were looking forward to sharing this city with our daughter, Charlotte.  We had a a blast exploring, and seeing the city through the eyes of a child was so much fun! Charlotte loved eating beignets, seeing the horse drawn carriages, and most of all, chasing the birds.

Ryan-Grace and Michael's entire weekend was so much fun!! From the rehearsal at Arnaud's to the reception at The Ritz, every event was a celebration of the love these two share.  The Katz and the Lane families know how to throw a party, and we loved being there to capture it! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Lane!

Christina + John // The Milestone

A very happy anniversary to Christina and John!! This was our very first wedding to shoot, and these two will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Christina and John shared beautiful vows in front of their family and friends at The Milestone in Aubrey, Texas.  The ceremony was made even more special as John's grandfather was the presiding minister! The love these two share for each other is so fun and infectious, that we know you'll shed more than a few tears (like we did!).

Carly + Blake // Balmorhea

It's 70 degrees in Texas today which obviously makes me think of... Christmas!! Carly and Blake's December 23 nuptials at Balmorhea Events in The Woodlands made for a Christmas to remember.  Have you ever seen a more beautiful couple? These two literally took my breath away.

Every detail of their day was stunning, from the vintage furniture by Love Bird Vintage Rentals, to the floral arrangements by F. Dellit Designs; Rachel with Rachel D Weddings brought the whole day together seamlessly. But the most beautiful part of this day? The love that these two share.  It's impossible to keep from getting ALL the feels when these two look at each other!  Their love, joy and passion are palpable and we were so thankful to be there to capture it!

Congratulations Blake and Carly! We wish you the best, and know that this beautiful day is only the beginning of an even more beautiful journey together!

Happy New Year!

As we welcome in the new year, we are reflecting on the many beautiful places, people and love stories that we have had the joy of capturing. What a year it has been! Four states, twenty-two couples, and countless memories.  We are counting our blessings from 2016 and can’t wait to see what 2017 has in store! Take a look back with us at our top moments from 2016.

Annie + Josh // Fort Worth Engagement

Sometimes in this business, you have the joy of working with dear friends. That was the case for Josh’s amazing surprise proposal for Annie!  Josh put so much thought into this surprise for his fiancé. He filmed videos beforehand, had spreadsheets to keep all of the locations, people, and gifts straight, and went to a ton of effort to keep it all on the down low.  The result was such a fun evening of a Fort Worth scavenger hunt.

At each location, Josh had people who were the most important to their journey as a couple, stationed and ready to ask Annie a question about their relationship.  Once she answered the question, she was able to watch a video of Josh answering the same question.   Annie then received a gift, and a clue that would send her on to the next location.

By the end of the night, Annie was led to her future home with her future fiance waiting, where he popped the question on the front porch. I’ve never seen a more beautiful and thoughtful proposal! You’ll want to get out the tissues for this one!

Lauren + Seth // Harmony Chapel

When I first met Lauren and Seth over coffee at Avoca, it was one of those moments where you just click instantly with a couple.  We spent most of the meeting chatting and getting to know each other, rather than talking about the matter at hand (wedding video).  When we finally did get around to the topic, I made Seth and Lauren promise me one thing; even if they didn’t want to work with me as a videographer, that we could be friends!  I’m happy to say that we were able to capture their day, and become friends!
Lauren and Seth are both Aggies, but didn’t meet during their time at Texas A&M.  They met as interns for the organization World Relief, and bonded over their shared love for serving refugees and serving the Lord.

These two picked the venue Harmony Chapel in Aubrey, Texas to share their vows in front of friends and family, and wanted the ceremony to feel intimate. Their first priority for their service was to share the good news of Christ with their guests, and for their marriage to shine as a testimony to His goodness.  The tears were flowing during this one, and the video is reflective of the love they have for each other, and the Lord.  Enjoy!

Tori + James // Pecan Plantation Country Club

Tori and James and their daughter Maddie were joined as a family in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Pecan Plantation Country Club in Grandbury, Texas.  This ceremony was so touching.  As a single mother, Tori talked about how finding a husband and a father for her daughter was the ultimate desire of her heart.  It was so special to see that prayer answered in their beautiful joining of families. During the ceremony, after James exchanged rings with his bride, he also gave a ring to Maddie, which represented his promise to walk with her through life as her father.

As a mom, I can’t imagine what this meant to Tori.  It was a moment that brought tears to my eyes and joy to my heart at the same time.  Seeing this family joined and made whole was beautiful to witness, and I’m thankful we could be a part of their day! Watch the highlights and witness the beauty for yourself.
